Undertone is a place of psychiatry and psychotherapy.
Psychiatric and psychotherapeutic work involves not only the recognition and treatment of symptoms, but also an understanding of each person’s individual history, relationships, and way of experiencing themselves and others.
Emotional crises, depression, anxiety, feelings of emptiness, or difficulties arising in relationships, work, and other important areas of life are often connected to enduring patterns of experiencing oneself, other people, and the relationships we form. Not all experiences can be fully understood through a diagnosis or a symptom alone.
The practice offers a space for both treatment and a shared exploration of personal experience. Understanding does not mean merely finding intellectual explanations for difficulties. Equal importance is given to what is lived and felt before it can be named and understood.
Some experiences reveal themselves primarily through the way we relate to others, respond to closeness, loss, dependency, or conflict, and only later become available for reflection and understanding.
